Sharena Rice, PhD

Research Scientist III

As Research Scientist at Sanmai, Sharena works on experiments with research participants, trains clinical partners in focused ultrasound neuromodulation procedures, writes documentation, creates graphics, works on analytics, and performs tests on devices. She frequently speaks for universities and conferences. Sharena earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Michigan. There, she was part of the team that discovered and characterized a new brain wave called “splines.” Sharena has published over twenty articles on neurotechnology medical devices for corporate audiences as Contributing Editor with Neurotech Reports. She can turn almost anything into a wordplay.
