Sharena Rice, PhD
Neurotechnologist and Science Communications Lead
As Neurotechnologist and Science Communications Lead, Sharena works on communications and industry intelligence strategy. Sharena tested four prototypes, produced clinical trial documentation, and trained five external clinical sites. Sharena earned her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Michigan. There, she was focused on experimental techniques as part of the team that discovered and characterized a new brain wave called “splines.” She frequently speaks about neurotechnology for universities and conferences. Sharena has published over 30+ trade journal articles about neurotech. She writes for corporate audiences as Contributing Editor with Neurotech Reports and is Venture Fellow at Kaleida Capital. She can turn almost anything into a wordplay.
