Sarp Satir, PhD
Senior Staff Ultrasound R&D Scientist
Sarp Satir earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, researching capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers. He has designed and developed medical ultrasound imaging devices and systems for various projects, including intravascular and handheld diagnostic applications. At Butterfly Network, he focused on transducer phased array modeling, design, and characterization, delivering CMUT-on-CMOS technology to the diagnostic imaging market. With 10 patents, 11 journals, and 15 conference papers published, Sarp joined Sanmai to lead R&D efforts in phased array design, ultrasound physics modeling, and software development for scientific computing, acoustic instrumentation, and signal processing.
